Today I am presenting a delightful and vibrant creation of pickle salad. This creamy, tangy pickle salad dressing mixed with crispy, colorful vegetables delivers an unforgettable dining experience. The enchanting visual appeal makes it a refreshing dish for a warm summer day with your main dishes, like meat or chicken.

This salad is nutritious because it combines healthy vegetables like kale, cauliflower, leafy green lettuce and reddish. With the perfect addition of seasoning, this salad becomes so outclassed. Feel free of the creamy texture of salad because it is still healthy to eat, as I am adding Greek yoghurt to make it tastier.

Ingredients Required For Pickle Salad

Kale: It’s a leafy green vegetable rich in vitamins A, C and K. It is soggy and wilted in texture, adding nutritional value to the salad.

Cauliflower: Packed With vitamins and fibers, cauliflower adds extra crunch to the salad.

Leafy Green Lettuce: lettuce is low in calories and rich in Vitamin A and K. You can use romaine, spinach bib lettuce or iceberg lettuce because they all work great in this recipe.

Green and red Cabbage: I am using green and red cabbage because these vibrant colours look amazing and give a satisfying crunch. It also adds sweetness and tangy flavour to the dressing.

Feta Cheese adds a distinctive Mediterranean touch and makes the salad salty and creamy.

Radish: I love radish in the summer as it adds vibrant colour to the salad and gives it a healthy and flavorful touch.

Croutons: You can use both store-bought and homemade croutons. In this recipe, I am using store-bought as they are seasoned perfectly and have great flavor. These seasoned bread cubes provide a delightful contrast and satisfying experience.

Dill Ranch Salad Dressing Ingredients

Greek Yogurt: In this recipe, I am using Greek yoghurt. I am using it to substitute sour cream or mayo. If you don’t like the taste of yogurt, you can use cream or mayo. This Greek yoghurt has low calories and makes the salad creamier.

Pickle: The hero component that gives the dressing its signature taste and sourness. Cucumbers used to make pickles are fermented in a brine that often contains spices.

Vinegar for Pickles: The pickle juice or brine gives the dressing a sharper flavor and richer texture. Thanks to this, there will be an authentic pickle taste in the sauce.

Honey: This recipe calls for a natural sweetener to counteract the sourness of the dressing.

Dill: An aromatic and pleasant herb. The dill enhances the pickle flavor, making this dressing uniquely reminiscent of dill pickles.

How To Make Pickle Salad?

Prepare the Dressing

  • In a medium-sized bowl or jar, combine all the dressing ingredients. Either mix the ingredients in a bowl or place them in a pot, screw on the lid, and shake rapidly until everything is incorporated.
  • Mix the seasoning in a small bowl, or use a spice grinder, mortar and pestle. You can use a mortar and pestle or a spice grinder to finely chop all the dill pickle seasoning mix components. Alternatively, you can crush the herbs with a spoon in a separate basin.
  • Crush the croutons in a Ziploc bag until you have a variety of sizes. In this phase, the croutons are broken into smaller pieces to accompany the finer chopping of the salad’s vegetables.

Prepare The Salad

  • Cut all the salad veggies into bite-sized pieces: green leaf lettuce, kale, cabbage, red cabbage, cauliflower, and radishes. This salad resembles coleslaw in that it is sliced into small, half-inch pieces that are easy to eat. Put the sliced or diced vegetables in a big bowl.
  • Mix the croutons, feta crumbles, dill seasoning, and dressing in the salad bowl. Blend by tossing. You can adjust the salad’s flavor by tasting it as you go and adding extra dill pickle seasoning mix or dressing. Extra pickle seasoning is a must because I enjoy a salad with a pronounced pickle flavor.
  • Serve and Enjoy!
