Ingredients required for the pulled chicken recipe

Boneless Chicken Breast: In this recipe, I am using the Breast part of the chicken. It’s a healthy protein and also the star of the meal. You need to remove excess fat from it and cut it into suitable pieces.

There is also a choice that you can use the thigh part as it is also delicious. Select chicken according to your preference.

BBQ Sauce: The pulled chicken recipe is complete with this amazing BBQ sauce. You can use a store-bought sauce from a reputable brand or make it home with few ingredients. For the homemade sauce, you need Tomato paste, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and a sweetener. This delicious sauce adds a smoky and sweet flavor to the dish. For a step-by-step guide, check out my recent post on the Ranchero Sauce recipe.

Olive oil: It will help to prevent the sticking of the chicken. Little moisture is essential for a healthy dose of chicken cooking.

Salt and sugar: A little seasoning is vital to enhance the flavor of every dish.

Garlic Powder: Add the fresh and chopped garlic; that is a great way to add depth and flavor to the dish.

Onion powder: Just like garlic powder, it is necessary for taste enhancement.

Chicken Broth: It helps to moisturize the chicken and helps it to cook well. It gives a zesty and savory taste to our dish.

Storage Advice

Storing leftovers correctly will keep them fresh and safe to consume for a long time after they have been prepared. You can keep your Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Chicken in the freezer for up to three months.

Storage in a Refrigerator:   The pulled chicken may be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days in an airtight container. Chicken should be allowed to cool before being placed in the refrigerator. Remember that the recommended temperature for reheated chicken is 165 degrees Fahrenheit (74 degrees Celsius).

Frozen Foods: You may keep the pulled chicken in the freezer for up to three months. Chicken should be stored in an airtight container or freezer bag after being allowed to cool to room temperature. Include the time and what’s inside the container’s label. The chicken has to defrost in the fridge overnight before being reheated to a safe internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit (74 degrees Celsius).

Shredded Chicken Additional Tips

Roasted Chicken Legs: Both boneless chicken breasts and thighs will work well in this recipe. Compared to chicken breasts, chicken thighs have more fat and are, therefore, often tastier. If you want an extra taste, try mixing chicken breasts and thighs.

Incorporating a Stand Mixer: The chicken shredding procedure might be lengthy, but there is a faster alternative! The chicken may readily shredded with the help of a stand mixer. The chicken may be shredded to your desire by adding it to the mixer bowl with the paddle attachment and mixing it on low speed.

Dinner in Advance: Meal prepping is a breeze when you use shredded chicken. You may prepare a large quantity on the weekend and utilize it during the week in various meals. Add the shredded chicken to your favorite salad, wrap, sandwich, or taco recipe.
